Punjabi Sports is the only independently produced Punjabi Sports show in Canada and starting Sunday July 11, 2010 viewers can watch it on OMNI TV.

The program, produced by H & R Productions, is a weekly sports and health related program, which brings sports highlights, updates and healthy living tips to viewers in Punjabi.

Punjabi Sports is a community based program with the aim to expose Punjabi youth to sports, physical activities and healthy living.

On a weekly basis Punjabi Sports will bring viewers the latest highlights from local, national and international sporting events including: Kabaddi, Soccer, Field Hockey, Wrestling, Ice Hockey, Basketball, Martial Arts, Volleyball, Tennis, Golf and many others.

In the past, the show has covered every major tournament including Guru Hargobind Wrestling Tournament, Surrey Field Hockey Cup, India Canada Test Series of Field Hockey, Soccer Tournaments, all Kabaddi Tournaments and various sports around Metro Vancouver and British Columbia.

Viewers can also watch interviews with athletes, coaches, and organizers of tournaments and sports related events.

In the past two years the show has been a platform for world-class Kabaddi players. More recently in Spring 2010, the Punjabi Sports teams had the honour to be the official media representatives of World Kabaddi Cup 2010 in India. Punjabi Sports is recognized by Sports Development Association of India and are currently working with them to get exclusive sports coverage.

Following their success Punjabi Sports has expanded its coverage and currently has correspondents in India and the United States.

The show has been garnering support in the past two years and is popular among youth and young adults. The Punjabi Sports Facebook™ group currently has more than 1500 members and its YouTube™ channel has received more than 500,000 views worldwide. www.punjabisports.com
