King of the Hill is set in the heartland of America – the fi ctional suburb of Arlen, Texas, where barbeque-loving, proud Texan and loyal family man Hank Hill, reigns over his subjects: multi-tasking wife, Peggy, 13-year old son, Bobby, and nubile niece, Luanne. Hank sees himself as the voice of reason in a world of incompetents and do-good liberals. Therein lays the irony and comic basis of the series. In addition to the regular cast of characters, there have been guest voice appearances by the likes of Chris Rock, Meryl Streep, Heather Locklear, Drew Carey, Burt Reynolds and Willie Nelson.
