Tiger!

"Bad guy" wrestler Jeet Singh Hans came to Canada in 1965 with pennies in his pocket and pummeled his way to fortune and fame in Japan. At 60, Tiger has a cult following in 3 countries, continues to wrestle selectively - and is also set to launch a new music career!

Interviews include former wrestlers such as Ron Doner, Canadian wrestling expert and author Greg Oliver, host of Live Audio Wrestling on MOJO and lead singer of the Bruiser Brody band, Dan Lovranski. These interviews come together to provide a colourful cross-section of the characters who love and live – professional wrestling.

We also interview family and friends who teach us that the Tiger in the ring is not the man who comes home to play with his grandchildren. He truly is a gentle giant.

He landed in Canada to get an education.
Another immigrant with little more than dreams waking up to reality in a far away land.
But unlike most other Indians who knuckled down to a life of nine-to-five, this strapping young man decided to do what his heart dictated.
He chooses to spend it beating the #@&* out of people.
His name: Tiger Jeet Singh.
Three words which spelled terror and mayhem for men as big and burly as him. Yet whispered with tremulous adulation by thousands of fans from Toronto to Tokyo who urged their hero to go for gore.

Tiger Jeet Singh, born Jagjit Singh Hans in Punjab, India, is a millionaire many times over today.
He looks the benign patriarch as he watches proudly over his brood  which includes his wife, three sons and their wives, and five grand children.
His affluence is not disguised. He lives in a 12,000 square-foot mansion in a 100 acre property overlooking the Niagara escarpment. And collects cars and diamonds.

‘Tiger’ the documentary covers Tiger’s life story as an immigrant who landed in Canada with 6 dollars in his pocket and became a millionaire through a sport that he loved as a kid.
The Tiger’s tale is more than a  compilation of archival wrestling footage, viewers will go behind the scenes as 60 year old Tiger prepares for a big fight against the leading Judo Champion of Japan, Naoya Ogawa.

Will he win? Find out in a nail biting climax to this riveting story.
